sustainability report

At So Delicious, we approach everything we do with compassion. We believe that being dairy-free goes beyond deliciousness. It’s also about social and environmental responsibility. It matters how we source our ingredients, how we manufacture our products, and the impact we leave on the natural world.

We’re on a mission to make all of our packaging recyclable by 2025. Most of our packaging is already there, including our half gallon, aseptic and yogurt alternative containers.

We’re especially proud of our organic almondmilk with cashew bottle. Like our products, this bottle is plant-based. Starting with renewable sugarcane*, it’s made from at least 80% plants.** Not only that, but the sugarcane plants used to make the bottle help reduce atmospheric carbon by capturing and storing it. That means the plant-based bottle helps reduce net CO2 levels.1

Whether it’s almonds, cocoa or the materials we use to create our packaging, we’re always seeking partners who are as conscious of sourcing as we are. Keep an eye on this page to learn more about our mindful choices in the future.

B Corp

In 2017, as part of our long-term commitment to create and share sustainable value for everyone, and as part of Danone North America, we joined the B Corp™ movement, a global movement of people using business as a force for good™.

Certified B Corporations must meet the highest standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, and must aspire to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Some of the ways we currently live these values are by paying fair wages to our So Delicious employees and committing to reduce our environmental impacts. And in 2018 Danone North America signed the “We Are Still In” petition, standing by the Paris Climate Agreement and committing to meeting its goals.

The Non-GMO Project is a third-party verification program that works at every level of the supply chain—from seed to production—to ensure products meet the Project’s standards for avoiding genetic engineering.

Our coconutmilk was the very first dairy-free beverage to achieve Non-GMO Project Verification and we’re proud that now every single one of our products is verified by the Non-GMO Project.
